Subject: kindergarten common core doc.

I am unable to open the assessment documents attached to the common core standards in kindergarten. Are they secure files or open to the public? Thank you for your help!

Subject: No Final Grade-Just 4th Qrt reporting

FYI from Justin regarding Final Grading concern for kindergarten.

Kindergarten teachers give standard marks which are not averages, and therefor do not require a final grade since, in essence, your fourth quarter grade would be their "final" display of mastery. Also, there is no "final" grading task (only Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) for you to be able to give this mark.

Subject: End of the Year Report Card

At the end of the year are we putting a score of 1 2 3 or 4
on their cumulative folders where we used to put N S ? Will other districts know what this means?

I have asked this many times this year when I had a student move. The people in the office didn't know either so we should probably find out.

Subject: writing

What did we decide that the 3rd quarter writing prompt will be? I reread the directions which said it would be based on a research project and I thought that we talked about changing the prompt? Was it 4th quarter that we are changing because not everybody has the Nat'l. Geographic Summer School Kits?

Subject: Directions from Justin on grade book in I Campus

1.Click on the drop down menu to change to the course you would like to work on an assignment
2.Then click on Assignments tool
3.Next click on edit teacher preferences and make sure those are set up how you would like them for the course you have selected
4.Next click on edit grade calc options.
5.In grade calc options choose the top most Fill All under No Calculation since we will not be averaging scores, save, and click on Assignment List.
6. Next create categories to put your assignments in by first clicking on Edit Categories, then Create Category. You can create as many categories as you need but you need at least one to put your assignments into. I've seen teachers create categories called "Assessments, Centers, etc" or "Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, etc" or "Butterfly Unit, Farm Unit, etc".
7.Once you have clicked on Create Category and named the category, the only thing you need to change after naming it is to select check box next to the section (you only have one) and all of the standards.
8. Click Save Category, then Back to Categories, then Assignment list when you have created all the categories you need.
9.Next Click on Create Assignment.
